10 apples, sliced 1/4" thick
3/4 cup granulated white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 stick butter
1/2 lemon
Prepare Pie Crust recipe
1. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Roll out bottom crust on a floured bread board. (A chilled wine bottle works well as a rolling pin.) Put bottom crust in pie pan, put in the filling, and dot the apples with the butter.
2. Roll out top crust and assemble the pie. Make about 6 cuts in the top crust so it will vent the steam.
3. Bake 1 hour. Crust should be a nice golden color. Some ovens may take a little longer.
